Eeeks! It has been 9 months!

So my last post was in January when I said I would start blogging.  Ha!  Well, obviously I didn't.  But, maybe with baby Lee on the way and family and friends far away from us, I will keep them updated.  We will see :)

So here's my first baby post!

Baby Lee's room is in the process of being cleaned out but we have her bedding and furniture picked out!  Well, at least I think we have finalized our choices.

The top left picture is her black crib.  I didn't really want a black crib but after I saw the design of the room that I wanted, it HAD to be black.

The top right picture is her bedding.  It is bright green, gray and cream.  I am in love with it!  I ordered the fabric swatches the other day and can hardly wait until they get here.  Since I can't see it in person I wanted to make sure I really loved the fabric before I spent all of our hard earned money on bedding :)

The bottom left is her black dresser that I'm sure will be filled with tons of clothes, soft blankies and tons of other things!

The bottom right is her antique white changing table.  I know, I know, the rest of the furniture is black but again, the design of the room just made me do it!  And Lauryn (who knows a lot about design) said it was fine!

I can't wait for the pieces to come together.

And this is the design.  Of course it will be a different color than this green (although I do love it!) but I LOVE the black tree with the initials hanging down and the cream colored changer with the black mirror over it.  And hopefully Lauryn will help me make all of this happen!

So, these are my ideas as of right now and some time in the next few months you will hopefully get to see a finished nursery!

The end of a 2 week vacation....

A perk of being a teacher is getting 2 weeks at Christmas time to just CHILL.  I cannot begin to tell you how great this has been.  Watching movies in bed, sleeping in and not setting an alarm, spending time with friends and family and looking at facebook and twitter WAY more than I would if I were working!!  Oh yeah, and starting this blog!

I'm not ready to go back yet.  Another two weeks sounds great!  But, reality sets in and tomorrow I will once again set my alarm for an hour that I have yet to see during this break.

So, I'm going to put a smile on my face and ask for joy in my heart as I venture off to school tomorrow!

You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with JOY in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.  Psalm 16:11 NIV
